EMG Connect ("the App") is a private, internal tool operated by Emigrant ("we", "us") to read Emigrant's own QuickBooks Online accounting data for bookkeeping, reconciliation and reporting. It is not offered to the public or to any third-party customers.
What the App accesses
Accounting data from Emigrant's own QuickBooks Online company, such as accounts, transactions, vendors, customers, tax codes and reports, using the QuickBooks Online Accounting scope.
Access is read-only. The App does not create, change or delete data in QuickBooks.
How data is used
Data is retrieved on demand and used only by Emigrant to review the books, prepare reports and identify bookkeeping issues.
Data may be processed by an AI assistant (Claude, provided by Anthropic) during our own sessions to help analyze it. We do not use QuickBooks data for advertising or for any purpose unrelated to Emigrant's own accounting.
Storage and security
OAuth credentials and tokens are stored only on Emigrant's own computer, in a file with restricted permissions that is excluded from source control.
QuickBooks data is not stored in a separate database operated by us and is not sold, rented or shared with third parties.
Retention and revocation
Emigrant can revoke the App's access at any time by disconnecting it from the QuickBooks Online apps page or from the Intuit developer account. Once access is revoked, the App can no longer retrieve data and its stored tokens are deleted.
